Ms. Aditi Walunj, an official of the Embassy of India in Moscow has visited Derzhavin University

During the International Pokrov Fair, Ms. Aditi Walunj, Deputy Head of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Indian Embassy in Moscow visited TSU. The meeting was held in the Medical Institute, where the guest was told about the history and structure of the University, the peculiarities of training and leisure activities of Indian students studying at TSU.

“The interest in getting higher education at TSU is determined by a wide choice of promising specialties and programs,” said Tatyana Osadchaya, Vice-rector for International Relations and Foreign Student Affairs. “General Medicine is the most popular specialty among applicants from India”.

The Medical Institute of the Derzhavin University cooperates with the International Medical Academy of Graduates in India, organizing academic professor exchange programs. Over the past academic year, Indian specialists in the field of pharmacology, surgery, physiology, ophthalmology, and pathological anatomy visited the University.

“Indian students are distinguished by a special thirst for knowledge, perseverance and diligence,” said Dmitry Maksinev, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Medical Institute. “For our part, we are trying to provide quality training for students. For two years, we have been engaging professors from the International Medical Academy of Graduates (New Delhi, India) to conduct preparation courses for the standardized FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) in India.

Students from the Republic of India have been studying at TSU since 2010. Today, 373 citizens of this country are receiving higher education in Tambov State University.
