Vladimir Stromov is a participant of the Russian-Uzbek Educational Forum "New Personnel for the New Economy"

On October 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on a state visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Educational Forum "New Personnel for the New Economy" was the starting point of the eventful program. The participants of the Forum represented more than 140 higher educational institutions of Russia and Uzbekistan, including 80 rectors of leading universities of the Russian Federation. Among them, there was Vladimir Stromov, Rector of Derazhavin Tambov State University.

The Forum became a platform for discussing the tasks of expanding and strengthening ties between higher educational institutions of Russia and Uzbekistan. The participants discussed topical issues of training specialists for key sectors of economy of the two countries, innovations in higher education and support for the study of the Russian language in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the Forum, a plenary session was held on the theme “Educational projects are a driver of a strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan”, as well as negotiations on inter-university cooperation.

Derzhavin Tambov State University and Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service (Uzbekistan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Within the framework of the agreement, the parties intend to conduct joint research, make mutual visits of faculty members, participate in scientific conferences, symposia and seminars, as well as conduct academic exchange programs.
