Representatives of Derzhavin university passed "Immortal regiment" in the Republic of Northern Macedonia and Republic of Serbia

On Victory Day, students and professors of the TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin passed "Immortal regiment" in the city of Bitola, Republic of Northern Macedonia.
Since 2017, the action "Immortal Regiment" takes place in foreign countries, where Tambov State University takes an active part. At the invitation of the Macedonian side, a lot guests gathered in the center of the city of Bitola to honor the memory of those who fought during the Great Patriotic War against fascism. Representatives of the International Slavic University “Gavrilo Romanovich Derzhavin”, the Embassy and Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Northern Macedonia, the leadership and residents of the city - more then 200 people also took part in the action. The participants laid wreaths at the monument to fallen war veterans.
The action "Immortal Regiment" was completed with a festive concert prepared by students of the Tambov State University. They presented the program “And the saved world remembers”.
The delegation of TSU named after G.R. also met with the Mayor of the city of Bitola (Republic of Northern Macedonia) Natasha Petrovsk. The parties discussed the importance of the commemorative action "Immortal Regiment" and the prospects for the development of Russian-Macedonian relations.



On May 9, in Belgrade, a memorable event "Immortal Regiment" took place. This year for the first time representatives of the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin took part in it. Among the organizers of the action were the city authorities of Belgrade, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Serbia, the RCSC in Serbia “Russian House”.



"Immortal Regiment" in the capital of Serbia gathered compatriots, residents of Belgrade and other Serbian cities. Together with Serbian colleagues and students from the University of Belgrade, Alfa BK University, they carried portraits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers through the central streets of the Serbian capital. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Chepurin, mayor of Belgrade Goran Radojcic, ministers of the Serbian government, deputies of the Parliament of Serbia and other officials from Russia and Serbia took part in the action "Immortal regiment" in Belgrade.
TSU's Serbian partners noted that Victory Day is a very important holiday for the Serbian people, who is grateful to the Soviet army for helping to liberate Belgrade and Serbia. Every year the number of marchers increases.
Even heavy rain could not prevent the participants of the action "Immortal regiment" in Belgrade.
