TSU received 12.5 million to teach students discrete mathematics, computer science and digital technology

In autumn, at the recreation center "Galdym" TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation will conduct thematic shifts in discrete mathematics, computer science and digital technology for high school students of the Tambov region and countries of the Customs Union. Thus, our university is one of the regions where the “Campus of Youth Innovations” program is being implemented. The campus is an important element of the system of development of additional education, which is characterized by an intercultural environment, focusing on global trends of the future, the needs of the labor market and social order.

For this, within the framework of the federal project “Personnel for the Digital Economy” of the national program “Digital Economy” of the state program of the Russian Federation “Development of Education”, 12.5 million rubles were allocated to TSU. The funds will be used to create modern infrastructure, organize and conduct thematic shifts.

From September, 30 to November, 10 there will be three shifts: “Discrete mathematics for future programmers and not only them”, “Deep IT-dive” (computer science), “DRONE CAMP” (digital technology).

The creation of an effective educational platform will allow us to identify and develop the abilities of children and youth in the field of advanced discrete mathematics, computer science, and digital technologies, and will help to disseminate existing experience in other regions of Russia and partner countries, - says TSU Rector Vladimir Stromov. - Resource base - research centers and laboratories of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin.

Shifts are organized according to the principle of combining educational and extracurricular activities. Their feature will be an individual approach and a constant reflective analysis of the results of each participant. Active forms of inclusion of each child in the educational process will be introduced.
