TSU commemorated the victims of Beslan tragedy

TSU hosted the Hour of Remembrance dedicated to the fateful days of the city of Beslan, Republic of North Ossetia. It is dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the fight against terrorism, which has been celebrated in Russia at the initiative of the President since September 3, 2005.

The participants were representatives of the administration of the Tambov region, the administration of the city of Tambov, the region power structures, the clergy, as well as employees, teachers and students of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin.

- Extremism is an extreme form of aggression that can undermine the most reliable state and community. There are many such examples in the modern world. This disease of the 21st century can be cured only if we all unite and say this phenomenon “No”, -  said TSU Rector Vladimir Stromov.

The commemorative action takes place annually in Russia.

 On September 1, 2004, a group of terrorists seized 1,128 hostages in a school in the North Ossetian city of Beslan. As a result of the terrorist attack 333 people died, among them were 186 children.
