TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin is on the path of informatization. In the new academic year, students are waiting for several significant innovations. Rector of Derzhavin University Vladimir Stromov spoke about them at a meeting with an asset of the TSU Student Council.
Student card will be microchipped. This will allow using it as a library card in the TSU library, as well as a pass through the turnstiles in the buildings of the university. Devices will be installed in each educational unit and dormitories of TSU. First-year students received a student card immediately in a new format. Students of other courses can exchange theirs for microchips in the student MFC at the address: Tambov, Komsomolskaya Square, 5, office 140. The center is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 to 19:00.
From this semester, students grade books will be canceled. On tests and exams, grades from the sheets will be set immediately in the student’s personal account in Moodle.
Undergraduate students will be able to write graduate qualification work in a new format: in a group of up to eight people. Students can unite both from one direction of preparation, and from different directions, regardless of institute or faculty.
In each educational building of TSU, information kiosks will be installed - electronic devices with the information necessary for the student. Schedule, answers to frequently asked questions, a building navigator, information on continuing education and continuing education courses and much more - everything will be in them.
This year is a pilot year to introduce automated scheduling. The schedule search will also be available by group, teacher or audience.
Students were also reminded about the possibilities of the Moodle personal account: in addition to receiving a schedule and filling out an electronic portfolio, students can pay for tuition online, as well as register for courses.
