Tambov State University joined the International Human Rights Day rally, traditionally celebrated on December, 10. A round table, initiated by the Department for Work with International Students of TSU and the United Student Scientific Counci, brought together students from the Russian Federation, India, Morocco, Syria, Ghana, Zambia and Gabon.

Today much attention is paid to respecting human rights around the world, - said the chairman of the TSU United Student Scientific Council Vladimir Zavyalov. - Representatives of 68 countries of the world study at Derzhavin University, each of which has passed its own historical path of formation. We gathered to discuss the role that modern youth plays in the state affairs of other countries, how they show their active citizenship, and also share our own experience with foreign colleagues.

During the round table, students discussed issues of future human rights, as well as the current situation in countries such as India, Morocco, Syria and Ghana.

It is a great honor for me to represent my country of Morocco in Russia, - said Azarual Moon, a student at the Medical Institute. - It is great that Derzhavin University gives us the opportunity to be heard and hear others. Today we talked about us - the young generation, about how important it is to know our rights, and also to respect the rights of other people.

Human Rights Day is held on December, 10 in honor of the adoption and proclamation by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a document in which inalienable human rights were first enshrined.
