“Boiling Point” of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin hosted the presentation of the YouTube project “I Am”. It was realized by a 3rd year student of the specialty "Information Technology Security in Law Enforcement" of Derzhavin University Nikita Maltsev. According to the results of the All-Russian contest of youth projects among individuals in 2019, Nikita won a grant of 240 thousand rubles from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Resource Youth Center. Out of 8600 applications for the contest from young people from all over Russia, experts supported only 820 projects, including the YouTube project of TSU student “I Am”.
On YouTube video hosting Nikita Maltsev created the “I Am” channel, where once every two weeks he released videos with the stories of Russian and foreign students, who share a common hobby or business: volunteering, science, sports, the blogosphere and others. In his editions, the student conveyed the word to modern youth, having learned how they live, what they think and what they aspires to. It is important that the heroes are not only from Russia, but also from other countries. In TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin studies over 2.5 thousand international students from 63 countries of the world.
During the implementation of the project, eight issues were released on the “I Am” channel. Among the heroes is a student from Algeria, Abdessamad Menasria, who is involved in medical volunteering in our country; Ruslan Zaznobin, a player in the hockey club Derzhava, a semi-finalist of the Student Hockey League; a medical student from Angola, who wrote a book in Russia, Moraish Zhubilu; Namibian chemist Peter Alveendo; Actress of the Kavardak Theater Studio, future lawyer Elena Romanova and others.
