Doctoral studies are a form of training of highly qualified scientific personnel in the Russian Federation.

Preparation of a dissertation in doctoral studies is carried out for up to 3 years.

Admission to the doctoral program is carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with the List of research topics for the preparation of dissertations at Derzhavin University.

Requirements for applicants to doctoral studies

The applicant must have:

1. a) An academic degree of Candidate of Sciences or an academic degree obtained in a foreign country recognized in the Russian Federation, the holder of which is granted the same academic and (or) professional rights as a candidate of sciences in the Russian Federation;
2. b) Experience of pedagogical and (or) scientific work for at least 5 years;
3. c) Work experience in the sending organization for at least 1 year;
4. d) Scientific achievements confirmed by a list of works published in peer-reviewed scientific publications and (or) patents for inventions, patents (certificates) for utility models, patents for industrial designs, patents for selection achievements, certificates of state registration of programs for electronic computers, databases, topologies of integrated circuits registered in in accordance with the established procedure;
5. e) Dissertation preparation plan.
