9 November 2018

The International Festival “Days of Germany in Tambov” has been held for the 12th times in Tambov. Its co-organizer is TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin. The project is carried out in the Tambov region with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Russia and the German Cultural Center named after Goethe in Russia. Its goal is the expansion of cultural and educational ties between Russia and Germany, the development of relations between the two nations and the creation of a community among young people.

The festival program consisted of a large number of venues: concerts, master classes, scientific conferences, student forums, thematic exhibitions, museum exhibitions, excursions, online quizzes and others.

Thus, a photo exhibition was held at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, at which the 26th Russian-German project “Russian-German School of Russian and German Languages and Cultures” was presented. It was organized at Derzhavin University by the Tambov Goethe Society and the Wetzlar-Giessen Christian Union of Young People.

For poetry lovers, under the supervision of Associate Professor Irina Bezukladova, Dr. Ph.D., there was held a literary and musical evening dedicated to the works of Rainer Maria Rilke “Don't forget: life is beautiful!”

Within the framework of the educational conference, a presentation of the Goethe-Institute Resource Center was held at TSU. It was conducted by Tambov State University in cooperation with gymnasium No. 12 named after G.R. Derzhavin. The introduction of new federal educational standards in the field of school education in Russia has stimulated the development of an educational initiative aimed at supporting educational institutions that teach or plan to teach German as a second foreign language. The purpose of the Resource Center is to provide information, organizational and methodological support to educational institutions.
