TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin continues the Cultural and Educational Project "Derzhavin Seasons". If the winter cycle was devoted to music, the scoring season tells about literature. The guest of the season is an actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of Russia, actor of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army Nikolay Lazarev.

At the beginning of March, Derzhavin University announced the start of the readers competition, dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexandr Pushkin. One of the stages of the competition was the open lesson of the artistic word, which was conducted by Nikolay Lazarev.

Poetry lovers, schoolchildren and students of Tambov region, gathered at the actor's lesson. At the beginning of the lesson, the guest shared tips on the performance of works of art. In his opinion, not only the charisma and temperament of the reader are important, but also the ability to think inside a poetic or prose text.

- Any artistic reading is communication with a partner, - says Nikolay Lazarev. The piece you are reading from the stage should have the task of changing the auditorium.
Nikolay Lazarev demonstrated his mastery of artistic reading by reading the poetry of Yesenin and an excerpt from Lermontov’s poem "Mtsyri". Then the actor gave the floor to the young readers, admitting that he had come to listen to the youth. At the open microphone, everyone could read his favorite poems.
