On 18-19 August the 5th All-Russian Urban Forum "Habitat for Life" took place in Tambov. Within the framework of the business programme, Vitaly Mutko, general director of DOM.RF, Maxim Egorov, the head of administration of the Tambov region, Pavel Moiseev, rector of the Derzhavin University and Albert Dorozhkin, managing director of "Megapolis" signed an agreement to build a rental house for university students.

At the suggestion of Tambov administration the land plot in the area of university buildings 5 and 9 on Sovetskaya, 181k street and Sovetskaya, 181I street will be used for construction of the leased house. The city will be able to transfer it for the project on special terms.

When the work is finished, DOM.RF will sign a long-term lease with Derzhavinsky, and the university will sublease the flats to students, including those who come to study from other countries.

- Young people from 60 countries and 70 Russian regions come to study at Derzhavin University in Tambov, so there is a shortage of places to accommodate non-resident and foreign students. The construction of the rental house is aimed at solving this problem. We are glad that thanks to cooperation with DOM.RF the project of rental housing for students will be implemented in our city", - rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev commented. - It is planned that the new building will be multi-storey and accommodate 500 people. Each flat is provided with quality repairs, furniture and appliances. It is important to note that the house will be part of the university campus, where the necessary infrastructure for students has already been created. This includes the swimming pool and sports halls of the “Antey “ Sports Palace, the “Derzhavinsky” ice rink, the”Doctor Profi” medical centre and the academic buildings - an environment where it will be comfortable to live, develop and study.
