TSU graduates from India scored high on the FMGE exam

Under the agreement on the network form of additional educational program, TSU students from India were trained to take the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination). The assessment test entitles Indian citizens with foreign medical qualifications to practice medicine in their country.

A total of more than 19,000 graduates from universities in Russia, China, the United States and other countries took part in the test. Padmasini Muguntan, a TSU graduate, took third place with 235 points.

- I thank the Derzhavin University for giving me the opportunity to realize my plans, - Padmasini Muguntan said. - The knowledge I received at Tambov State University is invaluable. I was lucky to learn from such highly qualified teachers. The annual conferences and cycles motivated me to be the best in my profession. This helped me achieve such a high score on the FMGE exam.

According to Natalya Chetyrina, deputy director for additional educational activities of the TSU Medical Institute, in 2018 Derzhavin University and the International Medical Academy of Indian Graduates entered into an agreement on the network form of the additional program. In the 2019-2020 academic year, 74 people were trained under the program. In total, more than 500 students from India receive higher education in Tambov State University.
