The team of international students of TSU Medical Institute was among the top five according to the results of the VIII International Medical Tournament. Students from 43 higher education institutions of Russia and foreign countries took part in it. The final was held in the online format at Novosibirsk State University. The jury consisted of specialists from Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky, Moscow State University, RUDN University, First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, South Carolina University (USA) etc.
The tournament consisted of Russian and English leagues. The TSU team consisted of students: Mohammed Bouakkaz, Abdessamad Menasria, Anis Kuki, Kerbal Mohamed Salim, and Chavan Prathamesh Sriram.
- We were successful in qualifying for the English-language league, in which 80 teams competed. Eight teams made it to the finals. We finished fifth", - said Mohammed Bouakkaz, a sixth-year medical student at TSU. The final was held in the format of a zoom conference. We solved diagnostic problems. A challange was arranged between the teams. Its essence was that the questions were asked not only by the members of the jury, but also by the participants themselves.
The International Medical Tournament has been held annually since 2014. It is aimed at developing professional clinical thinking in future doctors, as well as the skills of competent and structured presentation of their thoughts, argumentative evidence of their point of view.
