1. International Student Festival "Days of National Cultures" in TSU named after GR. Derzhavin

(REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY!)

About the event: The Festival is a cultural event that represents the creativity of the international student community. The main idea of the Festival is the disclosure of the deep-seated nature of cultures of the world.

Date of the event: annually, from April 4 to May 20

Program of the Festival:

April:

  • Competition "The best room of the hostel"

  • International Dance Contest "TAMBOVDANCE"

  • The Vocal Competition "International Wave"

  • The contest of presentations "My country"

May:

  • Gala concert of the Festival

2. Annual Russian language Olympiad for TSU foreign students

(REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY!)

Abouttheevent:

Date of the event: annually, from 12 March to 27 April

Program of the Olympiad:

  • The Olympiad is held face to face in two stages: the first stage is the selection stage and the second stage is the final stage.

  • Participants of the first stage include all TSU foreign students interested in taking part in the categories mentioned below;
    - the number of participants in the second stage is forty people (ten people from each of the below categories, who received the highest number of points when performing the tasks of the first stage).

  • The Olympiad is held for four categories of foreign students:
    - Category one: second-year foreign students of the Medical Institute who finished the Preparatory Department and second-year foreign students of the Medical Institute from the CIS countries who studied Russian earlier (at school). The complexity of the Olympiad assignments corresponds to at least B1 level of language proficiency (the first certification level) of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe.
    - Category two: second-year foreign students of the Medical Institute whose language of instruction is Russian with the use of French or English as intermediate languages. The complexity of the Olympiad assignments corresponds to at least A1 level of language proficiency (elementary level) of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe.
    - Category three: foreign students of the Preparatory Department. The complexity of the Olympiad assignments corresponds to at least A2 level of language proficiency (basic level) of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe.
    - Category four: foreign students of philological specialties. The complexity of the Olympiad assignments corresponds to at least B2 level of language proficiency (the second certification level) of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe.

3. Annual holiday "Maslenitsa at TSU"

(REGISTRATION IS NOT NECESSARY!)

About the event: Maslenitsa at TSU is a bright spring holiday, a merry farewell to the winter and a meeting of spring. On that day students take part in games, dances and competitions, and they are treated to pancakes.

Date: annually, March

Venue: in front of the Sports Palace "Antey" / in front of hostels

 

4. Annual educational action "Total dictation"

(REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY!)

About the event:

Total dictation is an annual educational action in the form of a voluntary dictation for all comers.

The purposes of the action:

- to show that being literate is important for every person;

- to convince that it is not easy to learn Russian, but it is fascinating and useful;

- to unite all those who can or want to write and speak Russian.
