The IX International Student Festival "Days of National Cultures in the TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin" started in our university

Within three months, students from 60 countries of the world will present their traditions and customs. Within the framework of the Festival, contests, master classes, round tables, trainings on intercultural communication and team building will be held. Among the participants, in addition to students of Derzhavin University, are Russian and foreign students of universities of the Tambov region and other cities of Russia.

The festival began with the contest “The best room in a hostel”, in which the national color and original ideas of the interior of the rooms in the university hostels were evaluated.

On April, 11th at 5 p.m. in the Educational building number 1 (Sovetskaya st., 93) a competition of national cuisine "Dishes of the World" will be held, where the culinary traditions of the countries of the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Russia will be presented.

On April, 18th at 5 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Educational building No. 1 (Sovetskaya st., 93) the “My country” presentation competition will be held. Nine teams from all over the world will demonstrate national costumes, songs and dances, and talk about national holidays.

On May, 23th at 5 p.m. in the Palace of Sports "Antey" (Sovetskaya st., 185) on the International Dance Day the dance competition "Tambovdance" will take place. The competition program will consist of traditional folk dances and modern national compositions.

Within the framework of the Festival it is planned to hold round tables on the issues of export of Russian education, migration policy and adaptation of foreign students.

On June, 4th at 3 p.m. in the TSU Student Theater (Sovetskaya st., 6) a gala concert will be held, in which the winners of the competitions and guests of the Festival from different regions of Russia will take part.

The festival “Days of National Cultures” contributes to the formation of students' positive values ​​and respect for the diverse cultures and national traditions of the countries of the world.
