TSU took part in the III Student Forum of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Novosibirsk hosted the III International Student Forum of the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It was organized under support of the Government of Novosibirsk Region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the universities of Novosibirsk. The forum was attended by representatives of federal authorities and constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the deputy corps, public organizations, heads of diplomatic missions of the SCO countries, international services of Russian and foreign universities, experts in the development of education exports, representatives of antiterrorist commissions from Iran, Kazakhstan , China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin was represented by Aleksandra Sizemina, Director of the Center for International Partnerships.

Welcoming speeches were made by Sergei Menaylo, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy tothe Siberian Federal District, Rashid Alimov, SCO Secretary-General, Zardi Shamsiddin, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Alexey Karpenko, Head of the Secretariat of the SCO Youth Council and others. The work of the forum "Topical issues of creating a favorable environment for foreign students on the territory of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation" was aimed at discussing issues related to the implementation of the priority project "Development of the export potential of the Russian education system".

At the round table experts and students discussed issues related to the export of educational services, the quality of training of foreign citizens in Russian universities, the creation of modern university campuses, the introduction of tutorship support for foreign citizens, the role of the alumni association in creating a favorable environment and subsequent employment of foreign students.

“TSU supervises the development of the "Favorable environment for foreign students" program of the functional area "Improving the conditions for foreign citizens to stay on the territory of the Russian Federation" within the framework of the priority project "Development of the export potential of the Russian education system", said Alexandra Sizemina. “Vladimir Stromov, Rector of Derzhavin University, noted effective work of the Ministry of Education of the Novosibirsk Region. During the forum, TSU representatives handed out letters of appreciation from to Novosibirsk colleagues for their active participation in the development of the program.”

The program of the forum also included thematic venues, the business game "II Siberian Model of the SCO", a meeting of experts on the priority project "Development of the export potential of the Russian education system", a school of tutors, a number of workshops, meetings, discussions and a rich cultural program.
