The I International Summer Summit of the students of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin, organized by the Department for Organization of Work with Foreign Students and the Center for International Student Cooperation, ended at the Galdym recreation center. Activists, volunteers and heads of student clubs discussed topical issues on organization of educational and extra-curricular activities under the current epidemiological situation.

On one of the days of the summit Rector of Derzhavin University Vladimir Stromov talked to the guys. He answered students' questions about their stay in Russia, about psychological and legal support of students, about employment and sports life.

At the meeting without ties, the rector stressed that the main task today is to create the most comfortable conditions for all foreign students to continue receiving quality education, despite the epidemiological situation in the world.

- Our work is aimed at ensuring that international students get education that is competitive in the world and feel comfortable in our country, at our university," -said Rector Vladimir Stromov. -  It is important for us to know what problems students face, together we will look for ways to solve them. We have always supported students' initiatives aimed at developing their abilities. And such meetings are a kind of reconciliation of hours: to understand what is relevant and necessary for international students.

As a result, the guys developed a road map to optimize the work with international students, reviewed the functioning of the structure of student self-government in the conditions of sanitary restrictions. They also made a list of the most effective tools for organizing and conducting extra-curricular activities in online format.

- Thanks to such meetings we understand that we are not alone in a foreign country, feel the strong support of the university and feel more protected, - shares his impressions Anass Benas, student of TSU Medical Institute from Morocco. -  And we are ready to share this support with others. It's been almost six months since I volunteered. I like to help and be useful, especially in such difficult times for the whole world.
