Medical examination of foreign students

 

Step one. Fluorography

On arrival each foreign student must undergo a fluorographic examination at the nearest clinic within 3 days.

If there is insurance / insurance policy, the medical examination is free of charge, otherwise you have to pay for it. A student is given a paper certifying that he/she has passed a fluorographic examination which is valid for a year. The student is to present a copy of the fluorographic examination to the International Relations Department (93 Sovetskaya Str., office 32), to the manager of the residence hall and to the tutor of the academic group. After the expiration date, the fluorographic examination must be repeated.

 

You can do a fluorographic examination in the following polyclinics (or in any other medical institution closest to your place of residence):

1. City Clinical Hospital named after Archbishop Luke (Polyclinic No. 2)

Address: 5Pionerskaya Str. (bus stop “Dom Khudozhnika” (“Artist's House”), you can get there by buses 1, 8, 33, 45, 50, 51, 55).

from 8.00 to 13.00 (lunch break - 13.00 - 13.30),

 from 13.30 to 16.00.

 

2. City polyclinic No. 5

Address: 16B Morshanskoye Shosse (bus stop “Dom Pechati” ("House of Printing"), you can get there by buses 146, 11, 15, 13K, 34).

Working hours of fluorographic examination room

from 8.00 to 11.00 (break - 11.00 - 11.30)

from 11.30 to 15.30 (break - 15.30 - 16.00)

 from 16.00 to 19.00.

 

 

Step two. Medical insurance

Medical insurance is issued within 7 days and it is valid for one year. After the expiration of the insurance period, it must be extended by all foreign students (undergraduate and graduate students).

In case of any disease, a foreign student who does not have an insurance certificate pays all medical services at their own expense.

Foreign students who applied through the firm "Rakus" and paid their tuition fees, take out an insurance police in the Insurance Agency "MAKS"

Foreign students who arrive on the basis of interstate agreements (for internships, undergraduate and graduate studies), take out an insurance police in the Insurance Agency Rosgosstrakh.

Step three. Medical check-up

Each foreign student must get a medical record with a hologram seal from the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology (Sanitary and Epidemiological Service) (which is paid by the University under the contract) and the admission to classes issued by a medical institution after medical check-up.

A valid medical record should include:

  • a hologram seal from Sanitary and Epidemiological Service;

  • a stamp certifying the result of the fluorographic examination;

  • a stamp certifying admission to the classes (resulting from the medical check-up);

  • information about vaccinations.

In case of failure to attend a medical examination, a foreign student is not allowed to attend classes.

The medical examination is organized by the educational department of the TSU named after GR. Derzhavin in accordance with the established schedule.

 

Step four. HIV Center

Every foreign student must undergo a medical examination in the Center for AIDS Prevention and Control (paid by the University under a contract) as part of the medical examination.

The examination in the AIDS Center consists in taking blood for the following tests:

  • HIV;

  • syphilis;

  • Hepatitis B;

  • Hepatitis C;

  • antibodies (measles, diphtheria, hepatitis B).

The medical examination is organized by the educational department of University in accordance with the established schedule.

 

Step five. Inoculations

Vaccination (vaccinations against diphtheria, measles, hepatitis A and B, tetanus) is carried out at the University medical aid station.
