Departments
Education in economics is in demand. Financial specialists ensure the functioning of public and private companies, work in the banking and tax systems, and control the movement and distribution of investment flows of organizations and individuals. Financial economists are in demand in a variety of fields. They are involved in assessing the value of projects and companies, advising on the purchase and sale of assets, and optimizing operational performance. Financier is one of the most prestigious professions of our time. Specialists in this field of activity are quite highly valued, provided they are highly qualified, since the goal of any commercial organization or enterprise is to increase capital.
The graduate of the department will have a good understanding of financial management, banking, loans, insurance, financial management; know the basics of organizing monetary regulation, the relationship between different parts of money turnover, the basics of banking and stock exchange, the basics of organizing taxation and insurance; be prepared for professional activities in institutions of the financial system, able to work independently in positions that require an analytical approach in non-standard situations; solve non-standard problems, predict economic processes in the field of monetary and financial relations; see the prospects for the development of financial and credit relations and the prospects for their professional activities.
Teachers enable students to gain extensive knowledge about the processes of formation and execution of budgets at different levels, the procedure for planning accounting and reporting, organization and management of cash flows of enterprises, investment activities, features of the organization of finances of enterprises and organizations, banks and other financial institutions.

The department trains students in the following areas of study: "Economics", "Finance and credit", "Economic security".
Specialists in the field of accounting, analysis, taxation and audit receive extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in accounting and control activities and can subsequently obtain a certificate of a professional accountant or auditor. They gain skills in working with professional software: “1C: Accounting”, “Alt-invest”, Microsoft Excel, programs for reporting to tax authorities and state extra-budgetary funds, learn to use legal reference systems in their work.
Graduates are in stable demand in the labor market, having good prospects for further professional and career growth. Employment opportunities for these specialists are very extensive: they can work as an accountant, accountant-cashier, specialist in the planning and economic department, specialist in the control and audit department, chief accountant, financial director. The skills of analytical processing of accounting and reporting information for the purpose of making management decisions and obtaining an assessment of the effectiveness of certain types of enterprise activities provide an opportunity to make a career as a financial analyst or financial manager. Graduates in the field of economic security perform professional tasks to ensure the security of the individual, society and state in the economic sphere; identify external and internal threats to the economic security of Russia, its regions and industries; apply tools and mechanisms to neutralize and prevent emerging threats, protect the economic interests of government authorities, the budget system, Russian public and private corporations, banks, investment companies operating both domestically and abroad. Working at enterprises in the region, our graduates do everything to eliminate the risk of embezzlement and theft within the enterprise, and protect against unlawful actions of government agencies and competitors.

The department trains students in the following areas of study: “Management”, “Personnel Management”, “State and Municipal Management”, “Business Informatics”, “Service", "Tourism", "Urban Planning", "Management", "Human Resource Management", "State and Municipal Administration", "Service", "Tourism", "Economy". Teachers of the department orient the educational process towards promising practical activities of students in the field of entrepreneurship, management, marketing and advertising. The graduates resolve personnel issues, deal with supplies, establish work processes at the enterprise, communicate with clients and suppliers, deal with office work, and much more. In addition, graduates are able to analyze the market and formulate a strategy for developing their business. Graduates of management specialties currently work in all areas of business, state and municipal administration. The department also trains specialists in the field of hotel management and sports and recreational services, real estate and utility infrastructure management, and management of tourism industry enterprises.
The department actively cooperates with the government of the Tambov region and the Association for Tourism Development of the Tambov region on the implementation of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. The Fund for Assistance to the Reform of Housing and Communal Services is successfully functioning, within the framework of which experts are trained on issues of energy saving and increasing the energy efficiency of apartment buildings.
In 2022, training began in the field of management and urban planning, meeting the principles of sustainable development of the urban environment in the interests of present and future generations.

The Department of Mathematical Modeling and Information Technologies was created to improve scientific and scientific-pedagogical work in this field.
The main areas of scientific research of the Department are mathematical modeling in natural sciences, artificial intelligence and pattern recognition, computer modeling using artificial neural networks, modeling in social and psychological-pedagogical systems. Work in this research field was supported by prestigious grants from international and Russian foundations.

The Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations provides scientific and methodological support for the educational process under bachelor’s degree programs 42.03.02 “Journalism” and 42.03.01 “Advertising and Public Relations”, master’s degree programs 42.04.02 “Journalism of the Digital Environment” and 42.04 .01 “Digital Technologies in Advertising and Public Relations”, PhD program in “Journalism”.

Leading lectures of the Department are specialists of various profiles: designers, architects, artists, art historians, designers of garments. Graduates of the Department are able to carry out creative projects in the field of advertising and information business at printing enterprises, in publishing houses and mass media. The objects of future professional activities can also be object-spatial architectural complexes, landscape environment and park ensembles. In 2016, a new field of training "Pedagogical Education" was opened (with two training profiles "Fine Arts and Computer Graphics"), enabling the graduate to fulfill his potential in the system of general, artistic and additional education, as well as, as a Web designer, artist - designer in various industrial structures, graphic designer.

This is a progressively developing center, the purpose of which is the need to provide effective forecasting, goal setting and support for management decisions during the implementation of project activities.

The Laboratory organizes round tables, conferences, scientific seminars, master classes, including with specialists invited from enterprises in one or another practical area of economics. It also prepares students for different Olympiads such as “I’m a Professional”, the International Internet Olympiad in Economics, the Gazprom Olympiad in Economics.
The laboratory staff is actively engaged in research activities in the field of economics, attracting students to research, which is reflected in their preparation of scientific reports at international and all-Russian conferences, publication of articles in collections of works and journals of various levels.
