A diplomatic day was held in Derzhavin University for schoolchildren from Russia and Belarus. On the eve of the diplomatic worker's day, a Belarusian delegation of schoolchildren and teachers from gymnasium No. 10 visited Derzhavin university. Joint Russian-Belarusian meetings of schoolchildren and students have already become traditional for the two countries. The visit of the Belarusian guests is timed to celebration of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State. The meeting took place within the framework of the international action “Diplomat – Soldier of Peace”.
Representatives of the Belarusian delegation and the head of the cadet corps named after Demin were awarded letters of gratitude from the rector of Derzhavin University for the strengthening and development of Russian-Belarusian educational and cultural ties, fruitful joint work in the field of patriotic education of the younger generation and the implementation of joint projects aimed at developing an active citizenship through the values of diplomacy and international cooperation. The solemn conclusion of the diplomatic day was the signing of an agreement on cooperation between educational organizations of Russia and Belarus.
