An educational intensive course, organized as part of a network partnership with the Russian State Stroganov University of Art and Design, concluded in Derzhavin University.
Throughout the semester, Derzhavin students studied the fundamentals of form-formation and design stylistics under the guidance of Zoya Tanshina, Associate Professor in the Textile Design Department at the Stroganov University of Art and Design, a PhD in fine arts, and a recognized master of painting, design, and hand weaving.
The practical portion of the training included work in the Derzhavin Art Labs, where students and faculty from the two universities teamed up to develop visual and graphic solutions on the theme "Tambov – the Best Place on Earth." During the course, the participants created a series of small architectural projects for urban improvement, exchanged design techniques, and shared their experiences in digital and manual sketching, modeling, and visualization. The intensive course concluded with the presentation of design projects to representatives of regional employers. The expert committee included Mikhail Chuksin, Director of the Triton Design and Advertising Studio, and Ekaterina Ilyina, Head of Corporate Marketing at Oktyabrskoye Group.
Elizaveta Ryzhkina, Director of the Competency, Career, and Communications Center at the Stroganov Russian State University of Art and Industry, served as the curator of the networking between the two universities. She highly praised the potential of the Derzhavin students and provided personalized recommendations on creative development for each participant.
According to the organizers, such creative synergy improves the quality of teaching in design and fine arts, enhances faculty qualifications, and helps each student fully realize their talent.
