Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin hosted a meeting of the Association of Universities of Central Russia. Rectors of universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Siberian, Volga, Northwestern, Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts took part in it.
The meeting discussed existing approaches to how to interest schoolchildren in studying the exact sciences and building a career in the technological sphere; how to ensure that the best school graduates stay to study in the region; how regional universities can encourage science teachers to stay in the profession.
- We talked about our experience of implementing a corporate demographic standard. We form a family culture within our walls and broadcast it beyond the university. We also presented the platform of the national demographic initiative. It is open to everyone who believes that demography and health preservation are important, - says Rector Pavel Moiseev. - We exchanged opinions with colleagues. There are no simple solutions. This means there will be complex ones. But together we will definitely find them!
