Within the framework of the “DNA of Russia” project All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Updating social and humanitarian disciplines. Journalism" was held at Derzhavin University.
The Russian DNA project is being implemented on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation and is aimed at involving the academic community of the Russian Federation in state policy in the field of education and higher education, in particular, in the process of creating a new unified approach to teaching a block of humanities in higher education in accordance with state ideology.
Conference “Updating social and humanitarian disciplines. Journalism" is held on the basis of the support and methodological center for the development of the discipline "Journalism" for non-major areas of training, which was created in February 2024 in Derzhavin University on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Derzhavin University became a platform for a broad discussion of the concept of a new discipline and the development of common approaches to the content of the educational and methodological complex in journalism within the framework of the updated module “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood”. The conference is attended by leading scientists and experts in the field of media. In addition, representatives of government authorities and the professional community take part in the conference.
