During the discussion, the participants considered key areas for reducing the carbon footprint: carbon regulation mechanisms, forest climate projects, digital monitoring technologies and innovative approaches to ecosystem restoration. The master class on the use of advanced digital solutions for the analysis of natural areas presented by foreign colleagues was of particular interest.
The experts emphasized the importance of combining the efforts of science, business and the government to achieve decarbonization goals. Following the forum, the participants noted the need to develop international cooperation and joint research in this area.
- Participation in such a forum is not only an opportunity to exchange experience, but also an important step towards the formation of a unified strategy for sustainable development. The technologies that we discussed will become the basis for the safety and prosperity of future generations tomorrow. It is especially valuable that the dialogue went beyond national borders - only through joint efforts can we achieve real results in the fight against climate change, - comments Alexander Gusev, Vice-Rector for Research.
