A Career Forum was held at Derzhavin University. This is a communication platform for students and representatives of various companies on employment issues.
The forum participants – undergraduate, postgraduate and graduate students – were able to learn about the latest trends in the labor market, current vacancies and get useful advice on building a successful career. More than 40 companies from various industries presented their vacancies and talked about employment and internship opportunities. Among them: Pigment JSC, Tambov Powder Plant, Tamak JSC, Alfa-Bank JSC, Gazprombank JSC, Agrosoyuz LLC, Sber PJSC, MTS PJSC and others.
The forum program includes the grand opening of the new Career Center space.
– We opened the updated Career Center space, which will become a point of attraction for university students and employers, a platform for building a career. Not always a student can directly contact an employer, so we create conditions for unimpeded communication and help Derzhavin University students successfully build a career, - comments Nikolai Karev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development at Derzhavin University. - More than 80% of our graduates find employment at enterprises in the region, over 70% work in their specialty. The career forum is an opportunity to directly communicate with employers and find their place in the profession.
Students met with representatives of the regional Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Health of the Tambov Region, the Employment Center. As well as a foresight session "Career Center through the Eyes of Students", exhibitions of employers, master classes and trainings, company presentations, competitions and a prize draw from partners.
- In the last years of study, you already need to think about the future and plan your career, - says Ekaterina Plotnikova, a 6th-year Derzhavin University student majoring in General Medicine. – It is important to start getting to know employers to understand what requirements are imposed on graduates, what skills and knowledge are in demand, what companies are looking for young specialists. This helps to correctly prioritize your studies and choose an area for further development.
