Chief researcher of the Derzhavin Research Institute of State and Legal Research, Alexander Malko, is among the leaders in international rankings among legal scholars. In recent years among the existing ratings and ranking systems in the field of higher education and science the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index rating is of high importance. It is a ranking and analysis system based on scientific indicators and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. According to the Alper-Doger, in the field of jurisprudence the leading positions belong to a scientist from Derzhavin University, chief researcher of the Research Institute of State Legal Research, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Alexander Malko. He is the author of more than 1000 scientific works, including scientific articles in the leading peer-reviewed scientific publications, authored and co-authored monographs, textbooks and teaching aids. Professor Malko is a scientific supervisor and scientific consultant for more than 80 candidate and more than 10 doctoral dissertations in law, editor-in-chief of the journal of the Higher Attestation Commission “Legal Culture”. According to open sources, among legal scholars in the ranking for BRICS countries, Alexander Malko takes 1st place, in the ranking for European countries - 9th place, in the world ranking - the only Russian scientist among legal scholars in the world included in the TOP 100 - 60 place.
