The economic program of China Week in Tambov began at Derzhavin University with a roundtable discussion titled "New Prospects for Cooperation between Chinese and Russian Enterprises." Participants included Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin Tambov State University, Tambov industrialists and entrepreneurs, and representatives of the Chinese delegation led by Chen Jiangtao, President of the China Guangcai International Investment Group and Director of China-Guangcai-SCO.
Pavel Moiseev opened the roundtable, where Tambov entrepreneurs presented their business projects to the Chinese guests. Valery Irzhanov, First Deputy General Director of the Tambov Region Development Corporation, spoke about the region's industrial parks, prospects for creating a special economic zone, and other investment opportunities. Chen Jiangtao, President of China Guangcai International Investment Group, presented a report entitled "New Prospects for Cooperation between Chinese and Russian Enterprises Against the Background of Developing Educational Cooperation between China and Russia." The meeting participants outlined promising areas for collaboration and agreed to further contacts to discuss details.
The economic component of the meeting continued with a visit by the Chinese delegation to a Tambov production facility. Representatives of the Chinese business community visited the Tambov Maslodel craft workshop, which is part of the Tambovskaya Marka regional producers' association. The Chinese delegation learned about the production of raw-pressed butter using manual techniques. Yulia Domnysheva, founder of the Tambov Maslodel brand, and her colleagues showed the Chinese guests the production facility, where they were able to participate in the process of pressing pine nut oil.
The tour concluded with a tasting of healthy food products and a discussion of prospects for cooperation. The economic program of China Week concluded with an official meeting between the business mission from Jiangsu Province (PRC) and the leadership of the Tambov Region.
