Foreign guests led by Koffi Leon Konan, Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire visited faculties and institutes of Derzhavin University. At the Institute of Medicine and Health Preservation, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Department of Human Morphology and Dentistry Department, which are equipped with high-tech equipment that meets modern standards. Here, medical students get a high-level training to become doctors in their countries, including African countries. They are also trained to provide medical care.
The delegation also visited the Accreditation and Simulation Center of the University, where they got acquainted with the training of foreign medical students: from passing exams to completing practical training and many other aspects of the educational process.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on mutual cooperation in the field of popularization of the Russian language in the countries of the African continent. Among the new initiatives of Derzhavin University is the signing of an agreement on holding a Russian language school for foreign teachers from Côte d'Ivoire.
The next stage of the visit was a meeting of the delegation with representatives of the national youth community of Côte d'Ivoire in Tambov. The event was attended not only by Derzhavin University students, but also by students from other higher education institutions located in the Tambov Region. The meeting included direct communication with foreign students and a discussion of issues of study and adaptation in the region that are relevant to them.
