Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov visited Derzhavin University. The visit began with a meeting with Rector Pavel Moiseev and the University management. At the meeting, areas were identified in which the agenda of the Federal Agency and the University's international academic activities coincide.
– The interaction between Derzhavin University and Rossotrudnichestvo has gained good momentum: over the past year alone, projects have been implemented in Abkhazia, Belarus, and Lebanon. We discussed new areas of mutual interest. This includes expanding the geography of internships for our students and teachers abroad; retraining programs for Russian language teachers and graduates of Russian universities, in particular, medical doctors; work with specialized classes abroad, and not only with high school students; projects in the areas of public diplomacy and youth policy for foreign students, – noted Rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev.
The program of the visit continued on the University campus. At the Alley of Glory, Pavel Shevtsov, together with the participants of the international "School of Russian Language and Russian Culture", laid flowers at the memorial to teachers and students who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
Pavel Shevtsov also took part in the round table "Russian Language in the International Space: Significance and Development Prospects". The event was the final one in the "School of Russian Language" program. Rector Pavel Moiseev and Pavel Shevtsov presented diplomas to the graduates of the Program.
- For Rossotrudnichestvo, the fact that teachers of the Russian language from foreign countries came to Russia to improve their professional level is really important. I am sure that after completing the program of the School, they have become not only more advanced professionally, but also learned more about our country. They are the ones who help to overcome the negative attitudes towards Russia which exist abroad, - said Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
