Derzhavin Tambov State University is hosting the project "Universitetskie Smeni" for the sixth time this year. Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova came to the event to talk to the participants, inspect the campus infrastructure of the Derzhavin University, and discuss current issues with the organizers. Rector of the university Pavel Moiseyev conducted a tour of the campus and spoke about the priorities of the university today and in the future.
“We tried to deformalize the participants' stay as much as possible,” - comments rector Pavel Moiseyev, “We are sure that it should be interesting to study, be creative, do sports, and just be together.”
This time along with the teenagers from Lugansk, boys and girls from the Russian Children and Youth Movement "Movement of the First" are taking part in it. Olga Petrova talked to the participants: she was interested in their hobbies, plans for life and their attitude to the project.
Derzhavin University has been implementing the project for the second year in a row. This is a unified educational program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First". The goal of the ten-day program is to create favorable conditions for the development of the scientific and creative potential of the participants, as well as to promote their professional self-determination. Of course, the organizers also take care of the guests' leisure - with an excursion program, the children visit cultural sites of the Tambov Region, get acquainted with Derzhavin University, play sports and do creative work. Last year, Derzhavin Tambov State University entered the top five best practices in Russia based on the results of the project.
