This year, the University's online platform accepted 68 semi-finalists - students from different cities and regions of the country, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kaluga, Voronezh, Tambov, Orenburg, the Republic of Dagestan and other regions.
For the eighth season, Derzhavin University students have been actively participating in the All-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional". This is one of the flagship projects of the presidential platform "Russia - the Country of Opportunities". The Olympiad is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Social Lifts for Everyone" of the national project "Education". The Olympiad is held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
The semi-final In "Pedagogical Education (basic)" was held in the format of a distance demonstration training session with the participation of a group of volunteers from Derzhavin University. Students played the role of schoolchildren in classes on history, social studies, foreign languages, literature, algebra and other subjects of the school curriculum, which were conducted for them by the contestants.
Participants of "Pedagogical Education (Preschool)" had to design lessons of various focus areas for preschoolers in real time, taking into account the age of the pupils, using modern technologies, methods and forms of work. Subsequently, they defended their projects before the jury members and representatives of preschool education institutions of Tambov.
– The topic of my educational project is “Family Tree”. Participation in the Olympiad was my first experience of conducting a lesson via video link. The work took place on the Russian distance platform Pruffmi, which develops online education and remote communication technologies. “I am a Professional” was my first event of this level, so I was a little nervous, – noted Arina Zuikova, a first-year student of the “Pedagogical Education” program at Derzhavin University.
Participants of the semi-final of the Olympiad in "Class Teacher", "Master's Degree/Specialist Degree" category, had to present a video business card and demonstrate a video of the project work "Simply about complicated things in 3 minutes".
– The Olympiad is an opportunity to try yourself in a new role, test your own strengths in teaching practice, develop new professional competencies, – says Yulia Musienko, a first-year student majoring in Pedagogical Education at Derzhavin University. – The teaching profession is becoming increasingly popular in the modern world, requiring high qualifications and creativity from teachers. Participation in the Olympiad and the opportunity to communicate with experts gave me confidence and inspired me for further activities.
“I am a Pro” diploma holders will be able to take advantage of benefits when entering a master’s or PhD program and complete an internship in the area of specialization at a large company.
