The students of Derzhavin University joined the Federal Educational Marathon “Znanie.First”. This is the flagship event of the Russian Society “Znanie” dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
For three days, more than 130 speakers in all Federal districts and 11 regions of Russia told young people about the events of the Great Patriotic War, discussed their impact on the present days and Russia’s place in the world.
In an in-person form, Derzhavin Students learned more about the historical events of the Great Patriotic War. They met with veterans, participants of the Special Military Operation, war correspondents, famous cultural and scientific figures, scientists, public and government figures. Derzhavin University students and staff members also visited the Victory Museum and sang patriotic songs together with Lev Leshchenko.
At the end of the marathon, the veterans of the Great Patriotic War passed the Baton of Memory to the younger generation.
