Students at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin have been awarded 33 Russian Presidential and Government scholarships, significantly exceeding last year's total.

A Russian Federation Government Scholarship was awarded to Daria Gorshkova (Kosenkova), student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and Philology, supervisor – Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander Okatov. "I began my research at the university four years ago. My mentor in this research was Alexander Alekseevich Uryadnikov, PhD in Chemistry and Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department. I chose several areas of interest, but ultimately chose to study metal corrosion processes," explains Presidential Scholarship recipient Farida Aydemirova. "My main goal is to find substances that can slow the deterioration of metal structures. These compounds are called 'green inhibitors.' At the Chemistry department of Derzhavin University, I conduct literature and patent searches and experimental studies, the results of which are published in highly rated scientific journals. Currently, my research results have been published in 25 publications, some of which are indexed in the international databases Scopus and Web of Science. During my studies, I was awarded the Derzhavin Grant three times to support small student groups led by a supervisor. This has significantly improved my research and writing skills, which contributed significantly to my victory in this competition! I regularly participate in scientific conferences where I present my research results. In 2024, I was awarded a Russian Government scholarship, and in 2025, I received a Russian Presidential Scholarship. I also won the Alfa-Bank Student Grants competition in 2026.
