A student mentoring center “Russian Language Volunteers” was opened in Derzhavin University. The goal is to popularize and preserve the Russian language in Russia and abroad. The project is being implemented with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Rosmolodezh.
– Language is an important tool for every person. The Russian language was, is and will be the cultural heritage of all humanity,” says Sergei Khudyakov, dean of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism. – Respect for the Russian language is very important. It is necessary to preserve the most important thing that our people have - the great mighty Russian language.
More than 300 Russian and foreign students will work with speakers from 2 October to 5 October. Together with the methodologists of the project “Ambassadors of the Russian Language in the World” - lectures from the State Institute of the Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin - they will learn how to form a volunteer corps to promote the Russian language and Russian culture, what is happening with the language today and how to use gamification in Russian language classes. Volunteers will conduct interactive training on competent speech.
“Preserving the Russian language is one of the priorities of our state,” says Daniil Zobnin, project manager, student of the “Journalism” department at Derzhavin University. – We love our native language, so we created the Student Mentoring Center “Russian Language Volunteers”. Our goal is to show the beauty of the language and popularize it among foreign students.
Derzhavin Tambov State University is the first educational institution in the region that is engaged in volunteer cultural and educational activities in the field of promotion, preservation and support of the Russian language in Russia and abroad.
