Derzhavin University students took over the relay from Moscow Region’s Patriot Park the “The Largest St. George’s Ribbon.”
Students from the Military Training Center of Derzhavin University, together with representatives of public organizations in the Tambov Region, unfolded the largest replica of the main symbol of the Great Patriotic War.
On the University’s drill ground, St. George’s Ribbon was arranged in the shape of the letter “V,” symbolizing the invisible bond between the victorious generation of 1945 and our contemporaries courageously fighting in the Special Military Operation zone.
The massive St. George’s Ribbon measures 300 meters in length and 7 meters in width.
St. George’s Ribbon has become not only a symbol of victory in the Great Patriotic War but also a reminder of the importance of preserving historical memory for future generations.
The next region to take up the relay will be the Ryazan Region.
