The 5th youth forum “Galdym – the Territory of Art” is taking place in Derzhavin University. Organizers: Derzhavin University and the Russian Institute of Theater Arts - GITIS. For ten days, students of Derzhavin University direction “Acting Art” and GITIS students will work together in small groups, as well as attend educational and creative platforms, master classes on stage speech, acting and stage movement. GITIS teachers are working with the students: professor of the department of directing Mikhail Chumachenko, lecturer of the department of stage plasticity Robert Elkibaev, senior lecturer of the department of stage speech Natalya Goltyapina, senior lecturerof the graduating department of sound drama of the faculty of new directions in the performing arts Alina Gudareva, lecturer of the graduating department of sound drama of the faculty of new directions of performing arts Irina Krugman. Students in teams are preparing theatrical works dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the poet Vladimir Mayakovsky and the 200th anniversary of the playwright Alexander Ostrovsky. The outcome of the forum will be the “Great Theater Fresh”. On the stage of the Derzhavin Educational Theater, student actors from two universities will show theatrical business cards, excerpts from Ostrovsky’s plays, genre vocal and plastic numbers.
