Derzhavin University and the Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea will join forces in training and transfer of biotechnologies for the development of the domestic agro-industrial complex. An agreement was signed at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at the stand of the Tambov region.
“Today we have signed a cooperation agreement with the Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea, one of the prominent scientific centers in Russia in the field of agrobiotechnology and microbiology,” comments the rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev. – The measures developed by our specialists will be aimed at improving the quality of practical training for students, synergy in obtaining fundamental knowledge and introducing new biofertilizers and biofungicides to the market”.
The parties recognize fundamental and applied microbiology, industrial biotechnology, and earth remote sensing technologies as priority areas of joint activity.
“In the coming year, students of Derzhavin University will undergo industrial practice in the microbiological laboratories of the Research Institute of Agriculture of the Crimea,” clarifies the Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnerships and Entrepreneurship Development of Derzhavin University Alexey Emelyanov.
“They will also take part in the development of industrial technology for the production of biological products from the Institute’s collection, and will carry out joint projects within the framework of the mirror laboratory of geographic information systems to study the agricultural landscapes of Crimea”.
