Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin held its traditional intellectual competition – the Spring Rector's Cup in "What? Where? When?". The event was organized by the Intellectual Games Club in conjunction with the university's Department of Youth Policy.
Teams from Derzhavin University's departments competed for the challenge cup. A total of approximately 80 students participated in the game.
Participants had to answer 36 questions that required general knowledge, logic, and a broad outlook. The team from the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology took first place. Representatives from the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries placed second. The Institute of Medicine and Health Protection took third place.
– Based on my experience participating in all-Russian competitions, I can say that our Intellectual Games Club is doing a great job! More than four teams confidently advanced to victory this time, demonstrating their erudition and utilizing their logic to the fullest. "The game was excellent," said Ilya Popov, head of the Derzhavin University Intellectual Games Club and a fourth-year student in the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology.
The "What? Where? When?" Rector's Cup has been held at Derzhavin University for several years and has become a well-deserved tradition, uniting students from various institutes and faculties. The competition not only identifies the strongest teams but also fosters team spirit, intellectual development, and the popularization of the "What? Where? When?" movement among students.
