A formal ceremony for the presentation of professional retraining diplomas took place at Derzhavin Tambov State University. Twenty-six participants received their credentials after completing the "Methodology of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" program and successfully defending their final qualifying projects. The graduates have been awarded the qualification of "Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language."
The program was delivered by the Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Retraining in collaboration with the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at Derzhavin University. It was launched in response to growing interest in learning Russian abroad and the increasing number of international students studying at the university.
"For the graduates, this training offered an opportunity to gain a sought-after qualification and master modern tools for working with international audiences. For the university, the program represents a significant step toward strengthening the staffing capabilities required for international activities," notes Natalia Dorozhkina, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Retraining and Associate Professor at Derzhavin University (Candidate of Economic Sciences). "These teachers of Russian as a foreign language will be able to participate in exchange programs, collaborate with foreign partners, and promote the Russian language and culture. This will help strengthen Derzhavin University’s position on the international stage."
