An event dedicated to the traditional Russian holiday Maslenitsa was held in the Russian pavilion of the International Expo Center “Pearl of the SCO” in the China-SCO Pilot Zone. Organizer of the event was the Golden Russia company with the support of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing. The participants were schoolchildren from the experimental primary school of the SCO Pilot Zone and the Qingdao Jiahuang International School, Chinese students from the Qingdao Teachers College and University of Science and Technology, Russian students from Qingdao University, and members of the Jiaozhou Russian Club. Representatives of Derzhavin University addressed the Chinese partners with a video greeting. The participants were introduced to a part of Russian culture – the traditions of celebrating Maslenitsa. The students showed the Chinese children traditional Maslenitsa outfits, games and dances.
Cooperation with the China-SCO Pilot Zone is strategic for Derzhavin University. It was initiated in 2023 by a university graduate, General Director of Qingdao Golden Russia Trading Co., Ltd (Golden Russia) Svetlana Wang. The company operates in the center of the SCO Pilot Zone for Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation.
