Derzhavin University held Maslenitsa festive celebrations. Students, teachers and university staff gathered on the square in front of the Sports Palace Antey to bid farewell to winter and welcome spring.
The festive mood was created by traditional Russian amusements: round dances, songs, competitions and merry buffoons. An interactive program and flash mob were prepared for all participants.
– Maslenitsa in Derzhavin University is not just a holiday, it is a feeling that you are part of a large and friendly family, – shares her impressions Elizaveta Berlizova, a student of the secondary vocational education program in the Design program at Derzhavin University . – It is great that we have the opportunity so joyfully and all together to see off winter and see in spring. Pancakes, round dances, a great mood – what else do you need? Now there will be enough impressions for the whole year. A lot of thanks to the University for such a wonderful holiday!
At the festivity traditionally pancakes and hot tea were treated . The festivities ended with the burning of a Maslenitsa effigy.
