– Today we celebrate Russian Students’ Day. On the one hand, the holiday is quite young, but on the other hand, it has long-standing academic traditions. It dates back to the year Moscow University was founded, which turns 270 this year. Our students today are active, goal-oriented and proactive individuals. They successfully demonstrate themselves in science, sports, creativity and public life, demonstrating a high level of knowledge, talent and responsibility. The university is proud of the achievements of its students. It is in the students that are the assets of the university, the region and the whole country, – says Rector Pavel Moiseev. – On this day, I want to wish all students enthusiasm, energy, everything that is characteristic of youth. Soak up knowledge and all the wonderful things that the university gives you. Spend your student years productively. And, of course, make friends and communicate. Let this day forever remain your holiday.
The best students of the University were awarded for their achievements in research, design, creative, social and sports activities. The Derzhavin University students were presented with letters of gratitude and gifts from the university's partners.

– This year’s Student’s Day was absolutely unforgettable! Everyone was dancing at the disco, it was fun and positive, – says fourth-year student of the Advertising and Public Relations program Ekaterina Abusafia. – And then the festival – so many venues, so many different activities! I learned a lot of new things, tried so many things! I took part in a quiz about the traditions of the holiday, it was quite difficult, but interesting. I especially remember the game of Imaginarium – I never thought it could be so exciting. It’s great that the university made such a holiday where everyone can find something to their liking and take part in something interesting!
The celebration of Student's Day will conclude with mass ice skating at the Derzhavin University Ice Rink.
