The Winter School of Russian Language and Culture has concluded at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. For ten days, students from the Nantong Institute of Technology (China) were immersed in an intensive educational and cultural program.
The students studied Russian language and regional studies and participated in training sessions on intercultural communication. A special feature was the active involvement of Russian students from Derzhavin University studying Chinese in the internship program. This created a platform for lively language exchange.
In addition to educational lectures, a rich leisure program was prepared for the students from China: master classes, excursions, creative meetings, gastronomic evenings, and traditional Russian winter outdoor activities. The intensive program concluded with a friendship celebration, at which participants were awarded personalized certificates.
"Tambov is a very beautiful city. It's full of energy and vibrant life. Even in the freezing winter, you can feel the wonderfully warm atmosphere here," shared Ni Yuxiang, a student at Nantong Institute of Technology (China). "Derzhavin University warmly welcomed our delegation and prepared a truly rich program with interesting classes and a variety of cultural events. I sincerely hope to return here again to continue my studies."
The Winter School of Russian Language and Culture is the result of the Cooperation Agreement between Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin and Nantong Institute of Technology (China), signed in May 2025. The agreement was developed with the active support of the university's partner, the Russian-Chinese Center. The project aims to develop academic exchanges for students and faculty, train personnel, and conduct joint scientific, educational, and cultural events.
