The 14th International Conference "Culture of Belarus: Modern Realities" was held as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The conference brought together over 180 representatives of science and art from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, and China.
Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin was represented at the conference and anniversary celebrations in the Republic of Belarus by Svetlana Serova, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communications and Creative Industries of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, a business meeting was held with representatives of administration and department heads of BSUCA to discuss the implementation of the roadmap and future areas of cooperation between the universities. The organization of academic mobility programs for university students was discussed in detail. This September, students from the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts participated in the 7th youth forum "Galdym – Territory of Art," held in Derzhavin University as part of the network educational program between TSU and GITIS. In the first half of 2026, BSUCA students will participate in Derzhavin University’s projects, including the International Festival "Such a Different Pushkin" and the marathon “Heirs of Victory.”
"The Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts is a major educational partner of Derzhavin University. There is a strong agreement between the universities," noted Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. "In the area of scientific and educational cooperation, the agreement provides for joint scientific and practical educational projects, scientific and methodological seminars and online lectures, lecturer exchanges, internships, and joint scientific conferences.”
Svetlana Serova’s participation in the conference is the result of collaboration between colleagues following the "Week of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin in Belarus" in February 2025. The initiative is being implemented within the framework of Derzhavin’s new project "International University," aimed at activating incoming and outgoing academic mobility of tutors and scientists.
