For two months, more than 150 teams from all over the country competed in the All-Russian Open Cyber Sports Student Games 2024. The Derzhavin University team "DerzaW1N" became second in the prestigious Dota 2 tournament.
After four stages, the TOP-4 teams were determined, which included "T-Team", "DerzaWIN", "CYBERSET I SEVGU" and "PrimeT3nLLI1k". These teams played for the tournament medals.
In the playoff semi-finals, our team beat T-Team. The match ended with a score of 2:0, and thus, Derzhavin University earned a slot in the tournament final.
In the decisive game, Derzhavin University students met with the CYBERSET I SEVGU team. They were just a little short of victory - the score of the match was 1:2.
- Becoming the second team in Russia is a worthy and important result. We put in a lot of effort to reach this result. Perhaps, we lacked a little strength due to fatigue, but second place is a reason not to stop there and grow further, - Pavel Gorbunov summed up the performance of his team.
