These days, an official visit of the Derzhavin University delegation, consisting of Elena Zueva, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Sergey Khudyakov, Director of the Department of International Relations, to China is underway.
The first destination was Shandong Province. The purpose of the visit is to establish cooperation with new educational organizations and deepen existing partnerships. The week-long program of the visit includes visits to more than ten such organizations - universities, institutes, colleges, schools, recruiting companies. Close consultations are underway with city administrations and the provincial Ministry of Education. The event was made possible with the support of the "Russian-Asian Hub of Higher Education and Ecotourism" - a partner organization of Derzhavin University.
– The visit to Shandong Province is a continuation of our cooperation, – comments Elena Zueva. – A representative delegation of the province was at the “China Week in Tambov – 2024”. Now we have paid a return visit. On its first day, we had an extended meeting with the Working Committee of Higher Education of the province. Then followed a visit to Shandong State University of Architecture – one of the highest-rated in the field of training engineers. But not only: the university is developing as a classical one and trains specialists in economics, design, urban planning, philology. During the negotiations, the parties expressed a high degree of interest in cooperation and planned to sign a memorandum during the official visit of the university rector to Derzhavin University in November this year. And with Shandong Professional Institute of Science and Technology Liming, we signed a memorandum on cooperation in training medical personnel, agreed to work out in more detail the possibilities of joint educational programs in medicine.
According to the schedule, we visited Shandong Institute of Technology and Taishan University. Both universities are ready to accept TSU students for internships, and an academic mobility program will be launched. The rector of Taishan University will be invited to the partner week at Derzhavin University in 2025.
– In addition, we met with four recruiting companies, – Elena Zueva continues. – During the visit, we signed a memorandum of cooperation with one of them, the Dincheng Group of Companies, on recruiting Chinese students to Derzhavin University. Ahead we are having meetings at the university in Liaocheng, with the directors of several schools, and career guidance work at five of the largest local schools. And then we move to Beijing for an educational exhibition.
