Ekaterina Zvereva, Professor of the Department of Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations at Derzhavin University, participated in the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Global Media Environment and Information Security in the 21st Century," held at the Belarusian State University in Minsk.
The event was initiated with the aim of creating a cross-disciplinary platform for a comprehensive analysis of contemporary challenges and threats to the global media environment.
"The conference demonstrated the potential for consolidating the scientific community and representatives of relevant agencies to discuss information security issues," noted Ekaterina Zvereva. "The relevance of my presentation on 'The Evolution of the Fact-Checking Phenomenon' stems from the need to synthesize Russian and international experience in information verification and the study of fact-checking as an element of media literacy."
At the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between Derzhavin University and BSU. Particular attention was paid to the issues of holding joint events aimed at developing spiritual and moral values among young people.
