The admissions committee has opened at Derzhavin Tambov State University. Applicants are applying for secondary general education programs at the Derzhavin Lyceum, as well as for secondary vocational and higher education programs, which include bachelor's, specialist's, master's, doctoral, and residency programs.
"In 2026, we have 1,742 state-funded places, 1,469 of which are full-time," says Pavel Moiseev, Rector of the University. "Just recently, Derzhavin University was included in the RAEX-100 ranking of the best universities in Russia, and this, above all, reflects our reputation: in the eyes of faculty and students, applicants, partners, and the entire region. I would like to emphasize that 50% of the ranking's weight is determined by the quality of education. The university's high position in the ranking is precisely due to this indicator."
This year, Derzhavin Lyceum launched a new undergraduate program, "Nursing," and a specialization, "Hotel and Restaurant Business." The master's program also launched a new specialization, "Environmental Engineering and Management," and a new postgraduate program, "Methodology and Technology of Professional Education."
By enrolling at Derzhavin Lyceum, young people gain a number of advantages. Upon graduation, students have the opportunity to earn two degrees, building their educational trajectory through minors—individual development tracks. All Derzhavin Lyceum students, regardless of their major, can acquire IT competencies in the university's digital department.
Angelina Burmistrova, a graduate of the Derzhavin Lyceum, was one of the first to enroll at Derzhavin Tambov State University. She plans to apply to the "Applied Informatics" program at the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries.
"My years at the Derzhavin Lyceum were wonderful." There, I gained the knowledge I needed to pass my exams and am aiming for a gold medal. I became very close with my classmates, so every moment with them will be cherished for years to come," notes Angelina Burmistrova. "I always wanted to pursue a career in information technology, as it's very relevant these days. That's why I chose that field."
Alongside their core curriculum, young men and women can study at the university's Military Training Center. Graduates of the Military Training Center receive a military ID card along with their university diploma. Since 2025, the university's Military Training Center has been training career military personnel in the specialty of General Medicine. This year, training in Economics has also opened.
Out-of-town students have the option of living either in the university dormitories or in a new 16-story rental building. All apartments are comfort-class, fully furnished, and equipped with appliances and air conditioning.
When submitting documents directly to the Derzhavin University Admissions Office, applicants receive a personal consultation with representatives of the university's academic institutions to make the final, informed decision regarding their chosen program and future studies at Derzhavin University. The Admissions Office also offers students the opportunity to learn about and, if desired, join the university's volunteer groups, the Derzhavin First Movement, the "I Am Proud" patriotic club, the tourist club, and other youth associations.
You can submit your documents to the Admissions Office in person at the university campus at 5 Komsomolskaya Square, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, or online through the Gosuslugi super service.
