Derzhavin University has once again entered the RAEX-100 ranking of the best universities in Russia, advancing from 87th place in 2025 to 79th place in 2026.
RAEX is Russia's largest rating agency, part of the "Three University Missions" group of rankings, and the only Russian educational ranking to have successfully passed the international audit of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. The ranking has been published since 2012 and evaluates universities in three areas: conditions for obtaining a high-quality education (weighted 50%), the level of demand for graduates by employers (weighted 30%), and the level of research activity (weighted 20%).
"Last year, we were new to the ranking, and the only newcomers," commented Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. Generally speaking, being included in such a ranking is a great honor. It would be a shame to be left out. As you can see, we not only stayed in it, but have cemented our place. I'm very happy for all of us. RAEX is, first and foremost, our reputation—in the eyes of our faculty and students, applicants, partners, and the entire region. I'd like to emphasize that 50% of the ranking's weight is determined by the quality of education. And the university's high position in the ranking is precisely due to this indicator. Derzhavin University ranked 67th for the organization and quality of the educational process, which is very good.
